To all Administrators of publicly funded child
development programs:

If you have been a member of CCDAA this past year, you know that we have been a powerful voice in Sacramento, advocating against budget cuts, sponsoring successful legislation to establish Family Child Care Home Education Networks in code, and making your voice heard regarding legislation time and again. We plan to find ways to eventually shape the implementation of Preschool for All, and we know that cuts are promised for child care in the Governor's next budget. Your voice and action continues to be needed to protect our children and families.

If you are a member, and especially if you are not, please consider what we offer to you this year:

• Aggressive lobbying - for the children, families, and programs you serve
• A strong, unified voice on issues that are important to all our program types
• Technical assistance for you and your staff - up to the minute, at October and March workshops, and at the meetings
• Through your State Board, direct communication with the SDE Child Development Division and Fiscal Services, to improve responsiveness to administrators' needs
• Top notch information, through Section and Statewide meetings, our website ( www.ccdaa.org ), and e-mails that reach you as soon as new information breaks. This year a member password will allow you access to all meeting minutes and the membership roster.
• A network of peers at the state, regional, and local levels to support you when you need it

I urge you to send in your membership - either individual or one of our two agency types - to begin experiencing these benefits now! Participate and support us, and I promise you will receive more than you give!
