“Creating Local Champions for ECE: A Culture of Advocacy”
A Panel Conversation

Being an advocate for children and families takes a multi-faceted approach. Join us on March 9 and participate in our panel discussion about creating a culture for advocacy within your organization; taking action and leveraging local opportunities to champion issues of importance to the ECE community. This is a great opportunity to build on your local resources!

In light of recent threats to immigrant families, we all must be equipped to be advocates for our community members facing difficult times. Our panel discussion on Friday, March 9, will include resources for immigrant families, equipping ourselves to be advocates for "Dreamers" and supporting unity for ALL families within our ECE programs in California.

Panelists include:

Kristin Hills, Program Manager
Mendocino County State Preschool Consortium

Camille Llanes-Fontanilla, Executive Director
Somos Mayfair

Eric Peterson, Public Policy and Community Outreach Director
CoCo Kids

Mark Salinas, Community Engagement Specialist Hayward Promise Neighborhood
Hayward City Council Member, and Mayoral Candidate
